The study looks into the real-world study of human resource planning in the cooperative sector. It seeks to evaluate the influence of predicting workforce requirements and strategic initiatives on the overall efficacy of these organizations. This study seeks to deliver a thorough examination of the complex interplay between human resource planning and organizational success. The enterprises were chosen using stratified sampling methods from the cooperative sector. The exploratory research design was chosen as the principal study framework to reveal and comprehend reality. This quantitative study utilized data from a sample of 54 cooperative employees, primarily from the South west region of Nigeria.  A carefully crafted structured questionnaire was utilized, and the resultant data were analyzed using SPSS version 20. Convenience sampling has been used to gather data. The study’s findings indicate a significant relationship between human resource planning and organizational effectiveness. The results suggest that the cooperative sector and its HR managers should regularly do personnel audits and planning. This will let them look ahead and see how many jobs are available and how many people are looking for work before they start hiring.
